Type Locality and Naming

Kuruktag region. Kurktag west of the Yuli County, Xinjiang Weiwuerzhu Zizhiqu (Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region). The Middle formation of the Kuruktag Gr (4 of 9). No details yet provided.


Lithology and Thickness

The Huangyangou Fm is indicated on the stratigraphic column as ca. 21 m of limestone and siltstone. Often absent between the Alatonggou Fm and Teruiaken Fm. No details yet provided.

Lower contact

The formation is conformable onto the underlying Aletonggou Fm.
